Selected Biography of Richard Nodel

It is interesting to examine some recent events in the Jewish-community life of Richard Nodel. Richard (“Neville”) Nodel, president of the JCRC and the putative leader of the Let’s-Just-Get-Along crowd of naïve Jews, works hard in getting “peace in our time” with his CAIR/Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas partners. In less than an hour of research, I was able to find the following tidbits in the life of “leader” of the metro Detroit Jewish community, whose “peace in our time” efforts are funded (at least in part) by the Jewish Federation and other organizations whose charters call for representing the safety and security of local Jews and of support for Israel.

•On the issue of the sponsor/builder of the 9-11 Mosque, Feisal Abdul Rauf who refused to condemn Islamic terrorist organizations, Nodel had this to say about his buddy Rauf:
“People like Imam Feisal provide the hope that we can overcome our differences. He and others like him should continue speaking as often and in as many places as they can. The message I will carry back to my constituents is that Imam Feisal seems to be a very sincere man of peace and understanding.” Read here
I guess Nodel is well practiced in his role as dhimmi.

•Richard Nodel, president of the Jewish Community Relations Council in Bloomfield Hills, said his organization "is sympathetic to the plight and suffering of the people that live in Gaza."

But Nodel blames the Hamas government [I thought from watching videos that Gazans support Hamas] for tensions that led to the blockade. Israeli officials meet every day with a citizens committee from Gaza to discuss how to meet the humanitarian needs of Gaza residents. Read here

•On the drive for a Helen Thomas statue at the Arab American National Museum in Dearborn he said:
“Despite the difficulties in raising funds [for a statue of Helen Thomas], unexpected support of the initiative came from President of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Metropolitan Detroit Richard Nodel, who expressed “hope that the support for this memorial is there despite her anti-Israel and anti-Semitic views and not because of them.” Read here

Once again on the subject of the statue, Nodel says: "I just hope that the support for this memorial is there despite her anti-Israel and anti-Semitic views and not because of them," said Richard Nodel, president of the Jewish Community Relations Council.

P.S. According to this, Nodel [who excused Thomas’s rantwas], contributed to the statue fund.

•On the Terry Pastor protest:
“The desecrating of holy scripture of any faith is reprehensible," said Richard Nodel, president of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Metropolitan Detroit. "When it's done by a member of the clergy, it's sinful. We urge Rev. Jones to cancel this despicable act. His hatred and actions are not welcome in our community."More here.

But it’s acceptable to teach “scripture” that instructs the killing and debasement of non-mulsims and not condemn those Surah’s. .

• Regarding Nodel’s cozy relationship with CAIR it was confirmed: “Detroit Jewish Federation {Richard Nodel, president of JCRC) is working with Hamas Front Group.” Read the whole story here.

• Richard Nodel, president of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Metro Detroit (now the darling of the Muslim/Arab press), said in a statement on April 27, 2011:
“We were pleased to hear the president say, in response to his winning the Peace Prize, that he has an ‘unwavering commitment… to the rights of all Israelis and Palestinians to live in peace and security in nations of their own.” Read here.

I guess Nodel’s buddy President Obama fulfilled his Nobel speech by sending $800 million to Gaza (run by “peaceful” terrorists), and stating that Israel was building illegitimate living quarters in Jerusalem for its citizens. Oh, and by the way, President Obama is contemplating sending another billion to Gaza as proposed by his adviser Samantha Powers.
