Not a Peace Plan -- Israel is Peace Offering

In a day and age when the racist notion of the “house Negro” has finally, thankfully been laid to rest, it is the height of hypocrisy and anti-Semitism that the media and political pundits berate Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu for not assuming the submissive posture of the “House Jew.”  We at Talking Tachlis are so proud of PM Netanyahu’s rejoinder to President Obama last Friday in the Oval Office after their private meeting (see their exchange here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l28xJitnP78&feature=youtu.be  or click in at 7:10 to hear Bibi:
Bibi’s  stirring defense of the Jewish homeland exemplified what true leadership is.  His extemporaneous appeal for Israel’s survival was so powerful and poignant it was as though G-d Almighty was speaking through Bibi.    Bibi spoke from the heart; he was strong, direct and clear.
That’s why the criticism of his remarks is so out of bounds. We were painfully dismayed to hear Bibi’s commentary blasted as “disrespectful” of President Obama.  The characteristically amnesiac press seems to have forgotten about the humiliation visited upon Netanyahu and his official coterie in March of 2010 when Obama walked out of a meeting and left them hanging while he went for dinner with Michelle. Talking heads fixated on sensationalizing the apparent tension between Obama and Netanyahu and castigated Bibi for “lecturing” and “schooling” the US President.  In a glorious display of Jewish strength, Bibi refused to play the role of the “dhimmi” Jew, the “sha-shtill” obsequious ghetto Jew of yore.  How dare a Jew stand resolute in defense of our homeland and our peoplehood, and in the White House, no less?   This is what elicited the firestorm of controversy that has ensued and been a sorry distraction from the substance of the messages delivered and the gravity of what is at stake.
Bibi could not have been any more compelling in making his case to the President and to the callous world that he bears the same awesome responsibility in protecting the safety and security of his citizens as does President Obama.  Just as the US had the right and responsibility to commit our troops and our nation’s blood and treasure a half a world away in Afghanistan to take out Osama bin Laden to protect our children, Israel too has the same right and responsibility to refuse to negotiate with Hamas terrorists storming their gates killing their children.
Bibi plaintively sought to soften the Pharaoh Obama's heart, but apparently to no avail.  The Israeli PM gently reminded Obama that Hamas recently launched anti-tank missiles at a yellow school bus, killing a 16-year-old boy, and politely pointed out that Hamas is the Palestinian version of al Qaeda.
TT prays that in his address before AIPAC this evening and again in his speech to Congress Tuesday, Bibi holds fast in his insistence that Israel will NOT  negotiate with a PA unity government with Hamas, a designated foreign terrorist organization dedicated to the destruction of Israel and murder of Jews worldwide. It is in America’s interests as well that all further “peace” talks be put on hold until Fatah and Hamas renounce their genocidal charters, stop their incitement to hate and violence, dismantle the infrastructure of terrorism and FINALLY demonstrate a willingness to recognize the Jewish state and to uphold the pledges they have repeatedly made and broken.
To do otherwise is to turn a blind eye to the blood-soaked record of Hamas and to reward terrorism.  This is the Second Coming of Yasser Arafat.  Either the US and rest of the so-called civilized world recognize Hamas et al for what they are and shuns them accordingly, or we continue to embrace them as we did Yasser Arafat and treat them as the victim darlings of the world.  If we betray Israel, we will no doubt unleash the third intifada in Israel and accelerate the carnage of global jihad.
Talk of 1967 borders, land swaps, right of return and and all ancillary issues should remain off the table UNTIL Hamas, Hezbollah, the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, Syria and the full constellation of Iran’s proxies and terror threats to Israel have laid down their arms and renounced their evil ways. Instead of pressuring Israel for more and more concessions which only emboldens the  terror masters and their clients,  America should use its full weight and whatever is left of its moral authority to crush terror organizations and punish their sponsors.  If we fail to excise the threat, the “cells” will only metastasize.
After all, if we Talk Tachlis, this conflict is not about the little spittle of land that is Israel.  It certainly is not about resources.  The hard truth is that Israel is the outpost of democracy in the Middle East; the forward base and proxy of the free world.  Hamas and the PA are proxies of Iran, which is racing to nuclear capability in its quest to rid the world of both the Little Satan and the Big Satan.
Israel is but a speedbump, the first road block to Muslim hegemony of the Mideast and the further conquest of the Western world and establishment of the global caliphate.
This is not about a “peace plan.”  This is about the willingness of this Administration to sacrifice Israel as a peace offering.

Shhh - Be Vewy Quiet. We'we Hunting Wight Wing Wadicals.

So when exactly do right wing radicals attack? We've been warned about  the rise of right wing militias, right wing hatred, right wing violence, right wing anti-Semitism. The threat is so dire, that various ethnic media have partnered in order to study this phenomenon, get us some scary numbers, and make us aware of the threat from these right wingers.
March 26, 2010 (Detroit, MI) - WDET-FM, the Detroit public radio station owned and operated by Wayne State University, today announced an important issue-oriented collaboration focusing on Right Wing Extremism with four of the region's most-read independent newspapers, The Jewish News, The Arab American News, The Michigan Chronicle and Latino. The five media entities have established a partnership to raise awareness of the growth of Radical Right movements in Michigan, and the country at large. The Michigan media entities have collaborated with the Southern Poverty Law Center, a nonprofit civil rights organization and one of the authoritative research institutions in the areas of hate groups, discrimination and exploitation.

Mikel Ellcessor, WDET's General Manager says, "The explosive growth of three distinct groups, the Tea Party movement, the Patriot movement, with the militias as their paramilitary arms, and the nativist anti-immigration movement has been underway for the past year. While these are distinct movements with their own animus, there is a well documented, and rising, level of extreme rhetoric coming from all three groups. This rhetoric has contributed to an environment that is fostering violence from the extreme right and multiple instances of domestic terrorism."
This report came out back in March of 2010. Since then, how many incidents of right wing violence have we seen? How many violent attacks have there been from Tea Party members? More or less than attacks against Tea Party members?

We've been warned to be on guard against the Michigan Militia since the mid 1990s. Since then, they've been responsible for how many violent attacks? The same number of times Jerusalem is mentioned in the Qu'ran: zero.

On the other hand, we know world wide that there have been almost 17,000 deadly Islamic terror attacks, some of them right here in the United States. Others have been attempted or planned. Shouldn't the Jewish News, instead of partnering with terror apologist and Helen Thomas supporter Osama Siblani, be watching out for the real source of violence? Rather than struggling to put a right wing face on every episode of random violence in order to gain political points, doesn't it make more sense to fight for the survival of the Jewish community and be honest about where a lot of this violence originates?

And rather than partner with Osama Siblani, the Jewish News needs to take some space and really expose him. He has been written about in past issues, but has his hatred ever been the subject of a feature article?
Leaders of the Metro Detroit Arab community stood strongly behind Hamas' and Hezbollah's attacks on Israel, condemning the American and Israeli governments and calling for the Muslim and Arab world to defeat Israel.

A July 14 press conference and rally at the Islamic Center of Detroit mosque attracted about 225 persons, mostly males ages 30-50, as well as young children and teens holding signs condemning Israel. The event was organized by the Palestine Office of Michigan and the Conference of Arab American Organizations (CAAO) representing 43 local Arab American organizations.
and
The publisher of the Arab American News and past-president of the CAAO, Osama Siblani, implored Muslims and Arabs to speak out, saying U.S. interests were being harmed by American support for "a criminal state called Israel," and "a bunch of terrorists led by Ehud Olmert that are trying to take the United States on an adventure."

"Don't be afraid. America needs you. Humanity needs you. You are the only people that can make a difference," he said.

That kind of vicious hatred toward Israel is passed over in favor of a hysterical examination of Tea Party violence? Then there is Siblani's spirited and dishonest defense of Helen Thomas,
Siblani declared, "We do not understand why a remark against a political group—the Zionists—would be interpreted as being anti-Semitic."
But as we know,
The mention of "Zionist" ownership of media or control of the government is often a thinly veiled reference to Jews and echoes classic anti-Semitic libels.
None of this should surprise anyone, for as the ADL points out,
The Arab American News, a dual language—English and Arabic—weekly, has a history of publishing anti-Semitic articles. Published out of Dearborn, Michigan, the newspaper, founded in 1984, claims to be “the largest, oldest and most respected Arab American newspaper in the United States.” The newspaper’s founding publisher and editor-in-chief is Osama Siblani, who has expressed support for Hamas and Hezbollah.
So, the question is: why does Horwitz partner with a man who is clearly at war with the Jewish community, not only locally, but globally. And this is not the only business deal between Horwitz and Siblani.

What does Horwitz get out of this? If this is one of those demonstrations of multicultural solidarity so popular amongst some citizen-of-the-world types, then we have a long road of trouble ahead of us.

The Mosque "Bomber" is a Muslim

In a previous post, I wondered aloud if there was any real danger from the man who was arrested for threatening to blow up a Dearborn mosque. Since then, there has been new information on Mr. Roger Stockham, the alleged plotter. It seems that,
Roger Stockham is/was a convert to Islam who goes by the name of Hem Ahadin.
and
Stockham fired his court-appointed attorney Mark Haidar, saying Haidar was a "Shi'ite" and a "patron of the [targeted] mosque".

The link above was sent to me by a friend, and it has a link to this fascinating 1979 article from the Merced Sun-Star on one of Stockham's previous violent criminal episodes. He has a long history of violence. Today's Detroit Free Press gives an overview of his violent past and his current situation. The article also doesn't try to hide his conversion to Islam or the fact that he's fired his court-appointed attorny, Mark Haidar, for being a Shi'ite, the same branch of Islam practiced by the mosque Stockham was allegedly going to destroy with his large cache of toy caps and smoke bombs.

The Detroit News does a poorer job than the Free Press. First, they lead off with the misleading headline, Mosque bomb suspect rejects Muslim lawyer, trying to divert us from the fact that Stockham is a Muslim while causing the reader to suspect him of being a dreaded, monstrous, scorned in polite company: "Islamphobe". They further try to mislead us, saying,
A hearing for a California man accused of plotting to set off explosives outside Metro Detroit's largest mosque was postponed Friday after he rejected his court-appointed attorney for being a Muslim.
Later in the article however,
But during the hearing, Stockham objected to the man appointed to represent him, Mark Haidar of Northville, claiming Haidar is a member of the Shiite sect of Muslims.

"I reject Mr. Haidar's appointment as counsel. He is a Shiite," Stockham said. "He is a patron of the mosque."
There is a difference between rejecting the lawyer because he's a Muslim, and rejecting him because he's a Shiite, which is what really happened. There is some unacknowledged interIslamic hatred going on here, along with either sloppy or deliberately misleading reporting.

Questions I have about this case:

How will CAIR and other Islamic grievance mongers twist this into an anti-Islamic "hate crime?" They already have help from the Detroit News.

Will Stockham's conversion to Islam be downplayed in order to garner sympathy against an "anti-Islamic backlash?

Will they find a way to label Stockman as an "Islamophobe", or will they have to settle for him merely being a "Shiaphobe?"

Will Stockham's conversion be used as a symptom of his mental illness? Will the mental illness defense be accepted? After all, we're always and continuously lectured that Islam is a religion of peace and that every attempted terrorist is mentally ill.

I will be staying tuned. But I'm still not sure I can take Stockham's attempt at terrorism seriously.

California man jailed in alleged attempt to blow up Dearborn mosque

I don't mean to minimize the latest attempted terrorist attack in Dearborn. This could have turned into a very dangerous situation. Somebody could have had an eye put out. This is, I'm sure going to get a lot of news time in order to demonstrate the rising tide of Islamophobia in our nation. According to the Detroit Free Press,
A California man is in jail on a terrorism charge after he was arrested in Dearborn for allegedly trying to blow up the biggest mosque in metro Detroit, Dearborn officials said today.

The suspect was arrested in the parking lot of the Islamic Center of America in Dearborn on Monday, while hundreds were inside the mosque that sits along Ford Road, police said. He came to the city because of its large Arab-American and Muslim population, police said.

Roger Stockham, 63, was arraigned Wednesday on one count on a threat of terrorism or false report and one count of explosive-possession of bombs with unlawful intent for possession of Class C fireworks, Dearborn Police said.
Class C fireworks, eh? According to Section 750.243a of the Michigan Penal Code,
“Class C fireworks” means toy smoke devices, toy caps containing not more than .25 grains of explosive mixture, toy propellant devices, cigarette loads, trick matches, trick noise makers, smoke candles, smoke pots, smoke grenades, smoke signals, hand signal devices, Very signal cartridges, sparklers, explosive auto alarms, and other similar devices.
As you can see, this is pretty serious stuff. Besides getting an eye put out, think of all of the dangerous smoke that may have been inhaled.
"He's very dangerous," Dearborn Police Chief Ron Haddad told the Free Press. "We took his threat to be very serious."
See? Dangerous, very dangerous. If the Dearborn police chief says so, it's got to be true.

Even the most inept of Islamic terrorists at least tries to put together some sort of effective explosive device. They travel to exotic places like Yemen and Afghanistan to learn how to build IEDs, truck bombs, underwear bombs, and other nasty things. This demented schmuck had a carload of toy caps and smoke bombs.

I will do my best to take this threat seriously, but it's not going to be easy.
